Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) played a clip of Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist and well-known Trump supporter, condemning former President Donald Trump's tweet in which he called for supporters to come to Washington during a "big protest" against the government on December 19th, 2020.

As noted by Jones, President Trump is now calling on the people to show their numbers.

Some protesters have been clashing with police outside the Capitol building and getting ushered into the building by Capitol Police. Meanwhile, Jones is on video far from the Capitol calling on supporters to peacefully march and stay away from the Hill.

There was no evidence supporting collusion between Stone and Jones, let alone any plans for occupying the Capitol Building.

But sources have cleared up that there would be no grand conspiracy of Roger Stone, Alex Jones and all these other people to storm Washington D.C, take hostages and demand the President’s resignation.

"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases…Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized," it stated.

Heitkamp said the committee is just a political event meant to smear Trump's political opponents, not an actual legal proceeding.
